| Ukraine Ministry
Early in 2000, after some years of praying and
asking God for direction, I met with a missionary whose field of work was
in Ukraine. He listened to my testimony about God’s call on my life
and believing God was directing me, he suggested I accompany him to Kiev,
Ukraine and see if this was where God would have the ministry do His work.
I did go with him early that year and as I stepped on the runway of Borispol
Airport in Kiev, I knew I this was where God wanted us to be as a ministry.
After several trips to Kiev during 2000, I met a pastor from Donetsk, Ukraine
who invited me to bring a team to his church and train them to do skits
and go to orphanages, apartment complexes and youth centers and share the
gospel. We were involved in this style of ministry until October
2003 when God opened the way for us to do the Pageant in Kiev, Ukraine
by bringing us into contact with the future leaders who would help make
it possible.
Christmas Celebration©, a two hour production
with 77 Ukraine singers, actors and dancers, premiered in Kiev, Ukraine
in January 2005 to standing ovations. Christmas Celebration is the story
of the gospel of Jesus Christ from birth to resurrection.
In 2006 Creation Celebration©, premiered in
Kiev, Ukraine. It opened with the creation of Adam and Eve and their fall
into sin, told with a beautiful ballet, and ends with the story of the
life of Jesus from His birth to resurrection premiered in Kiev, Ukraine,
again to standing ovations.
God has shown that by teaching and training Ukrainians
we can have a full time ministry program that shares the gospel with music
and drama year after year in Ukraine. We occasionally go there to encourage
them and do workshops. The ministry has grown and become recognized all
over that country because of their commitment and belief that God has called
them to share the Gospel though Revelation Ministries.
The ministry has produced three full pageants in
Ukraine, with casts drawn from Kiev and Donetsk in collaboration with Ukraine’s
mega-church Pastor, Reverend Sunday Adelaja. |
