One of our visions is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to inmates and prison personnel through music and drama. We will endeavor through our presentation to strengthen those who are discipling inmates and to affirm the continuing presence of Christ among them. 
At the invitation of Prison Fellowship Ministries, we continue to present the life of Christ to those within the correctional institutions of Florida and beyond.  Our musical production, restricted to only twenty participants, will feature not only the birth and death of Christ but also His healing ministry and the depiction of the Lord’s Supper.  Traditional tunes as well as more contemporary ones will tell the story with some assistance from our narrators. 

The institutions restrict the use of certain props and the construction of a set.  Therefore, the costuming has become the focal point – and we have to “wear” all of our costumes into prison (for obvious reasons they won’t allow us to have racks of costumes offstage).  It has been fun and quite the challenge to create costumes that are reversible and innovative.  The twenty participants will provide thirty-eight characters including the manger, tomb and even the cross! 

We began this ministry with the faith of a mustard seed. We have asked God how to raise awareness of our work.  We believe that He has answered us with this prison outreach.  Prison ministry is ministry in its purest form.  In Matthew it says that the mustard seed grew into a tree so large that the birds built a nest in the top of it.  Travis’ church family at First Baptist Church of Oakland Park, Oakland Park, FL  has provided the seed money.  We purchased the fabric for our costumes and our special props, i.e., tomb, rock, cross, and even the Lord’s Supper table.  With the assistance of several members of West Burnsville Baptist Church in Burnsville, NC the costumes were completed.  And now for the “mustard treetop part” – the vision is for the prison outreach to become nationwide!
